Job summary

Banner University Medical Group in Phoenix, in partnership with the University of Arizona, is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our Digestive Services program. This academic health science center supports translational research and trains the next generation of physicians in Motility care.

The successful candidate will lead a clinical research program, mentor junior faculty and fellows, collaborate with nutrition, surgery, pathology, and radiology, and maintain active clinical practice while

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for licensure in AZ.
• Established track record of excellence and academic scholarship.
• Strong record of clinical research and/or translational research in Motility.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to mentorship and team development.
• Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a robust clinical research program with institutional support.
• Mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in clinical practice, academic development, and research.
• Collaborate with colleagues across nutrition, surgery, pathology, and radiology to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain active clinical practice.
• Collaborate with Division Chief of Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
