Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Board-eligible or Board-certified General Surgeon to join as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in a non-tenure-track faculty role at the Jacksonville Campus. • MD or DO with Board-eligible or Board-certified status in General Surgery.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a high level of patient care in general surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
• Conduct clinical teaching of trainees in general surgery and actively participate in the educational program.
• Maintain excellent communication with primary care physicians, consulting services, and other referring providers.
• Assist in marketing the general surgery program to community physicians and managed-care organizations.
• Participate in monthly division and department meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
