Job summary

The Department of Neurology at Stony Brook University seeks a faculty neurologist to join a renowned Epilepsy group. The role covers inpatient EMU, shares weekend/overnight call, and includes supervision of residents and students. There is scope to develop innovative clinical, educational, or research programs aligned with academic interests.

Non-tenure track, FLSA-exempt, and start date as soon as possible. Strong retirement plans available.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
Eligibility for New York State licensure.
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology.
Completion of an accredited Neurology Epilepsy fellowship or Neurophysiology fellowship.

Responsibilities

Coverage of the inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU).
Favorable weekend and overnight call responsibility shared amongst practice members.
Supervision of neurology residents, Advanced Practice Providers, and students.
Contributing to the growth of our existing outpatient epilepsy practice.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to develop innovative clinical, educational, or research programs to suit their unique academic interests.
