Job summary

Albany Medical College is recruiting an Academic Endocrinologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. You will participate in clinical care and education for students, residents, and fellows, in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment.

The role offers exposure to a wide range of endocrinopathies within a tertiary referral center and opportunities to focus on thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, and transgender medicine. Teaching is a key component of the position.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification/board eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Strong commitment to education and teaching.
• Must be prepared to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bimonthly multidisciplinary conferences (thyroid, pituitary, pathology).
• Exposure to a wide variety of endocrinopathies as part of a tertiary referral center.
• Collaborate with a strong diabetes education team, including CDCES.
• Utilize an ultrasonography suite for thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Opportunity to work in specific areas of endocrinology (e.g., thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, transgender medicine).
