TheRocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC)is actively recruiting aBoard Eligible/Certified full-time academic Endocrinologistto join our team, accountable to the Chief of Endocrinology. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Our facility is closelyaffiliated with the adjacent University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and it is expected that the successful candidate will qualify for faculty appointment in the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The successful candidate will have interest, skill, and demonstrated experience in clinical care and education.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preferred Experience:Board Certified in Endocrinology, evidence of academic teaching experience, and VA experience a plus
Salary Range:$245,000-$260,000
Work Schedule:Monday-Friday, 40hrs/wk; Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage of the endocrinology consultation service in rotation with other staff (approx. 12wks/year).

Pay:Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off:50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement:Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance:Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure:1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME:Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement
Malpractice:Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract:No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
