Position: Endocrinologist at Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center

The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC) is actively recruiting a Board Eligible/Certified full-time academic Endocrinologist to join our team, reporting to the Chief of Endocrinology. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Our facility is closely affiliated with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and the candidate is expected to qualify for a faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The candidate should have interest, skill, and experience in clinical care and education.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Providing comprehensive clinical care to veterans with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic diseases.
  2. Managing inpatient and outpatient endocrinology consults.
  3. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and implement evidence-based practices.
  4. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics related to endocrinology care.
  5. Engaging in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
  6. Participating in clinical research activities with support from VAECHCS and CU resources.
  7. Contributing to the academic mission through teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development.
  8. Attending departmental and divisional meetings to support the strategic goals of the endocrinology program.
Preferred Experience:

Board Certified in Endocrinology, evidence of academic teaching experience, and VA experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $245,000 - $260,000
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week; includes evening, weekend, and holiday coverage on a rotation (~12 weeks/year).
  • Incentives: No relocation or sign-on bonus offered.
  • Additional Benefits: Comprehensive VA total rewards package including paid time off, retirement plans, insurance options, licensure reimbursement, CME allowance, malpractice coverage, and flexible employment terms.
