Job summary

Yeshiva University’s College of Dental Medicine invites applicants for the Registered Dental Hygienist, Practice 1, faculty position. The role blends direct patient care with instruction, supervision, mentoring, and evaluation of dental students in a comprehensive academic clinical environment.

Responsibilities include preventive and periodontal therapies, digital radiography, recall management, student evaluations, and compliance with NYS laws, HIPAA, CODA, and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Dental Hygiene or equivalent.
• Current NYS RDH license required.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical instruction and supervision of dental students during patient care.
• Assist in student evaluations, counseling, competency assessments, and clinical performance feedback.
• Participate in student and faculty calibration exercises.
• Support curriculum implementation, accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement.
