The Academic Data and Operations Specialist serves as a coretechnical and operational resource for the College, helping tosupport, accelerate and streamline college processes. The incumbentreports to the College's Chief of Staff.
The College increasingly uses technology and data in its support ofundergraduate students. This position will assist in the support ofundergraduate students by helping existing college staff obtain,transform and take action on data collected through disparate datasources.
In addition to maintaining and operating existing automation toolsand data workflows, the Academic Data and Operations Specialistwill work closely with the Academic Data Analyst and SystemEngineer to identify opportunities for new systems and to design,test, and implement those systems.
The incumbent will assist the Academic Data Analyst and SystemEngineer in gathering, analyzing, and presenting complex data tosupport proactive decision-making by the College's leadership anddivisional staff. This will include both fulfilling requests fromthe Dean of the College and other College staff members as well asproactively identifying areas where analysis can help the Collegemake better decisions. This work will cover both one-timeexploratory analyses around key decisions as well as the creationand maintenance of long-term tracking dashboards and reports.
Additionally, the Specialist coordinates the operational workflowsof the University-wide Course Feedback process and manages itstechnical system. The incumbent also actively participates in theadministrative life of the College, participating in team anddivisional meetings, as well as committees and ad hoc workinggroups
