Position Summary:

Assist in the development and implementation of all services related to academic planning, academic support, academic major selection, career counseling, academic monitoring, and personal development for student-athletes. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules compliance in the area of academic counseling.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
  • Ability to monitor students’ progress and coordinate their class schedule, tutorial sessions, and development.
  • Ability to communicate with coaches, students, tutors, and professors.
  • Ability to provide academic support and counseling in regard to students’ courses and progress towards graduation.
  • Ability to provide individualized learning strategy training to underprepared and/or at-risk students and report on their progress daily.

Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and use close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
