Job summary

Texas Woman's University seeks an Academic Component Administrator to lead and manage academic units within the College. The ACA will reassign duties from a faculty role to provide administrative leadership while maintaining scholarly collaboration with faculty.

The position involves strategic planning, budget and personnel oversight, and coordination of curriculum, accreditation, safety, and compliance. Appointment is for a six-year term with potential renewal, under Provost oversight.

Qualifications

• Tenured faculty member with the rank of full Professor preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, personnel, and grants.
• Proven leadership in academic administration and governance.

Responsibilities

• Directs short- and long-term planning within the Academic Component.
• Manages faculty/workload, recruitment, supervision, and performance reviews.
• Oversees staff matters, budget development, and space/facilities planning.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation and safety requirements.
• Represents the AC in internal and external relations and committees.
