Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System (TUKHS) and the Department of Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center seek an academic colorectal surgeon to join the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The position focuses on providing comprehensive surgical care for benign and malignant colorectal diseases with minimally invasive, robotic, and endoscopic approaches across KU Health System sites.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required or equivalent.
• Board-eligibility or board-certification in General Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship.
• Board-eligibility or board-certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Demonstrated experience in robotic colorectal surgery and advanced lower GI endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the academic faculty, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in clinical care of patients with benign and malignant colorectal diseases across KU Health System hospitals and ambulatory sites.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care.
• Pursue clinical research, quality improvement, outcomes studies, and scholarly activities including presentations and publications.
