Job summary

UC San Diego Academic Jobs is seeking a Colorectal Surgery Faculty member to provide comprehensive clinical care across UC San Diego Health sites while teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. The role also includes developing a research portfolio and participating in departmental duties, including call coverage.

Candidates should have an MD, board certification in General Surgery, and completion of an ACGME-accredited colorectal fellowship program. Robotic and endoscopic training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care in colorectal surgery across UC San Diego Health sites.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Develop and maintain a research portfolio aligned with divisional and institutional priorities.
• Participate in call coverage and other departmental duties as required.
