JOB DESCRIPTION

Academic Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AZ certified in Single or Multiple Subjects
• Knowledge and awareness of Native American Culture.
• Training in Differentiated instruction and data driven instruction.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL: To provide support to staff to increase student achievement.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design training materials and provide professional development training to address and/or identify teacher instructional needs.
• Work directly with teachers in providing classroom based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support and facilitating teacher inquiry and related professional development.
• To work with teachers to enhance the teacher’s ability to provide instruction that builds the students’ sense of engagement in ownership of learning.
• To collect and analyze data, interpret and use it to guide instructional decisions.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
