Job summary

Wake Forest University seeks an Academic Coach and Access Specialist to provide academic skills coaching and coordinate disability accommodations across the Reynolda Campus, Law School, BGCME, and Charlotte campus.

The role supports undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, ensuring timely implementation of accommodations and collaboration with faculty and staff. A graduate degree and experience in higher education are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in education, psychology, counseling, higher education, or a related field.
• One year of experience in higher education, student services, disability services, tutoring, coaching, advising, or related student-support role.
• Knowledge of disability accommodation practices in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic skills coaching to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students across Wake Forest University.
• Coordinates disability accommodations and communicates with students and faculty.
• Assists with documentation gathering and tracking of accommodation implementation.
• Develops collaborative relationships with School of Law administrators, faculty, and student support staff to promote equitable access for students with disabilities.
• Assists with licensing/credentialing examination accommodations under guidance of the Assistant Director.
