Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Academic Behavior Support Teacher (ABST) to assist administrators, teachers, and staff in developing and implementing behavioral interventions to boost learning time and student achievement.

The role emphasizes coaching teachers, conducting data collection and progress monitoring, and using evidence-based behavior strategies within MTSS. Florida certification and a bachelor's degree are required, with a master's preferred and 3–5 years of classroom success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in ABA preferred.
• Valid Florida Professional Certificate and fully qualified in designated content area(s).
• 3–5 years as a highly successful classroom teacher with measurable student gains.
• Evidence of extensive behavior management experience (course work, CE, in-service).

Responsibilities

• Coach teachers in behavior strategies and model implementation in classrooms.
• Co-facilitate functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
• Assist with data collection, progress monitoring and data-driven decision making.
• Support school improvement efforts and collaboration with staff and parents.
• Provide professional development to teachers on classroom management and MTSS.
• Coordinate with administration regarding student needs and plans.
