Job summary

Community College of Philadelphia is seeking an Assessment Specialist to contribute to the Office of Assessment and Evaluation, focusing on Academic Program Review and non-credit assessment. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and documenting data to support assessment projects, accreditation efforts, and learning technologies implementation.

You will work with faculty and administrators to ensure high-quality assessment practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of graduate/professional experience in education, social science, or a related field.
• Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate clearly about assessment methods and results in non-technical language.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Proficiency with data analysis or visualization software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating data-collection processes, analysis, data visualization and producing academic program reviews and other reports for dissemination to stakeholders.
• Manage timelines and communication for academic program review including work breakdown, reminders and presentation session prep.
• Evaluate and integrate supplemental information for academic program review, such as program histories and future directions.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data for academic program review and non-credit assessment.
• Provide support in the development of training materials and workshops on assessment practices and technology.
• Assist in developing a comprehensive system of non-credit course and program assessment.
• Collaborate with administration, faculty, department chairs and deans on assessment initiatives.
• Assist the Director in responding to requests for consultation on assessment projects or training.
• Maintain confidentiality of designated information and student records.
