Qualifications

• US citizenship as required for VA employment.
• MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency completion in an accredited program leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification or eligibility in anatomic pathology; subspecialty fellowship(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the anatomic pathology section.
• Sign out surgical and cytopathology cases and supervise staff.
• Collaborate with clinical departments and cancer center for coordinated patient care.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and medical students; lead conferences and teaching activities.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA and regulatory standards; participate in QA initiatives.
• Engage in research, grant management, and publication activities as appropriate.
