Job summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH is seeking one full-time MD/DO Anatomic Pathologist to join the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. Clinical duties involve signing out surgical, cytology, and hematopathology cases with collaboration across outpatient clinics and the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Teaching and research opportunities, with academic appointments coordinated through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, are available.

Qualifications

• Board Certification Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Fellowship Training in a recognized Pathology subspecialty is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the anatomic pathology section.
• Direct clinical and support staff including pathologists and technicians.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure high-quality diagnostic services.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Perform and review diagnostic surgical pathology and cytopathology assessments.
• Conduct autopsies and forensic examinations when necessary.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Lead multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with other departments.
