Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks an Internal Medicine-trained allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology; involvement in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity is expected.

The candidate will provide inpatient consultation at Albany Medical Center and participate in education of students, residents, and fellows while contributing to ongoing research programs within the division.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Allergy & Immunology fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy & Immunology.
• Eligible for unrestricted New York medical licensure.
• DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Allergy & Immunology consultation services for adult and pediatric patients.
• Evaluate and manage allergic and immunologic disorders across a broad spectrum.
• Perform and supervise allergy testing, oral challenges, immunotherapy, and desensitization.
• Collaborate with multiple specialties for comprehensive patient care.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in lectures and grand rounds.
• Engage in scholarly activities including clinical research and quality improvement.
