Job summary
Albany Medical College's Department of Medicine and Division of Allergy & Immunology seeks an Internal Medicine-trained allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. The candidate should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology and participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activity at Albany Medical Center.
The role includes inpatient consultation, education of students and fellows, and potential involvement in established
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Allergy & Immunology fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy & Immunology.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State.
- DEA certification.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient Allergy & Immunology consultation services for adult and pediatric hospitalized patients.
- Evaluate and manage patients across the spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders.
- Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and other specialties as appropriate.
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and Allergy & Immunology fellows.
- Develop and present educational lectures, conferences, and grand rounds.
