The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for an Academic Advisor to join our team. This exempt, on-site/hybrid/remote-eligible role supports degree-seeking students from orientation through graduation.

You will provide proactive advising, interpret degree requirements, and collaborate with Career Services and Orientation to promote student success. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s is preferred, with Spanish language aptitude valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education, advising, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for higher education advising roles.
• Experience advising college students and supporting their educational development.
• Proficiency in Spanish highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive academic advising to undergraduates by analyzing career goals and degree progress.
• Explain campus policies and degree requirements accurately.
• Support new student enrollment through orientation and registration guidance.
• Document all advising interactions in the student record system.
• Collaborate with campus departments to promote student success.
