Position Overview

The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and College of General Studies (CGS) seek an undergraduate academic advisor. We look for positive, conscientious, student-centered individuals to help students achieve impactful lives by connecting them with tailored educational experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Work with diverse student backgrounds and academic interests, including adult/non-traditional students, underrepresented groups, and students interested in health sciences and medical careers.
  • Assist students in identifying academic and career goals, course selection, and degree planning.
  • Connect students to resources, monitor progress, and participate in initiatives like retention efforts, orientation, and student programs.
  • Use various software platforms and adapt to new technologies to fulfill advising responsibilities.
  • Build inclusive relationships and advocate for a diverse student body, demonstrating patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and foster an inclusive environment.
  • Proficiency with video communication tools and administrative software.
Additional Details
  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote).
  • Salary range: $43,894.50 to $53,711 annually.
