Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Master’s degree in Education, Higher Education, Counseling or related field desirable.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in academic environments preferred.
• Knowledge of California credentialing and K-12 employment requirements desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and support for SOE programs and candidates under supervision.
• Advise candidates on standard and complex issues including matriculation, tests, documents, registration, and finances.
• Verify official documents for credential completion and manage electronic candidate files.
• Collaborate with Credential Office on credentialing needs and policy updates.
• Refer candidates to campus support services and submit Community of Care referrals when needed.
• Assist in development and communication of program advisement practices and documentation.
• Utilize LMU systems to maintain data and prepare enrollment and accreditation-related reports.
