Ascension's Dell Seton Medical Center and Dell Medical School are seeking an Academic Acute Care Surgeon to join a nationally recognized trauma program in Austin, TX. Faculty will engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership within a premier Level I trauma center.

Ideal candidates thrive in high-acuity environments, teach residents and students, and contribute to scholarly activity while living in a vibrant Texas city. Eligible for Texas licensure and board certification.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board eligibility or certification.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
• Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Acute Care Surgery care including trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care.
• Engage in resident and medical student teaching and mentorship.
• Participate in research, publications, and national presentations.
• Collaborate in quality improvement and academic leadership activities.
