Academic Account Manager (Remote)(TN, OH, IN)

The Academic Account Manager is responsible for maximizing market share, product revenue, preference, and usage in a designated territory by effectively managing a high-performing set of assigned law schools. Academic Account Managers employ industry trends and both in-person and digital engagement methods to communicate the value of Thomson Reuters' platforms to law school customers.

Location:

This is a remote/work-from-home opportunity. The ideal candidate can be located in Nashville, TN; Indianapolis, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Act as a high-performing account manager to secure long-term, loyal customers for Westlaw, CoCounsel, and other Thomson Reuters products within assigned law schools.
  2. Own revenue retention for law school customers and prospect for new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  3. Demonstrate exceptional presentation skills to maximize client relationships.
  4. Maintain a professional demeanor that commands respect from law school faculty and students.
  5. Develop deep product knowledge of Thomson Reuters solutions and the legal profession.
  6. Develop strategic territory plans to manage a cost-efficient, high-performing business, utilizing in-person and online training, and customer promotions.
  7. Manage Student Brand Ambassadors, including hiring, HR issues, training, and reporting activities.
  8. Represent Thomson Reuters at trade shows and conferences regionally and nationally.
  9. Provide accurate reporting and work independently and collaboratively.

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Master and communicate the benefits of Thomson Reuters products.
  • Willingness to learn about law school products and the legal industry.
Qualifications:
  • JD required.
  • Legal experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and social media.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for training and meetings.
Benefits:

Includes flexible work policies, career development, comprehensive health benefits, work-life balance programs, social impact initiatives, and competitive compensation, with a base salary range of $72,100 - $133,900 in the US. Role may be eligible for bonuses based on performance.
