Job summary

Password Services, part of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Mobile HVAC & Refrigeration Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems across hospitality, retail, and commercial sites. This field-based role covers the Birmingham–Watford corridor with an on-call rota and paid overtime.

Essential: F-Gas certification, NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration/AC, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience on commercial refrigeration systems.
• F-Gas certification required and NVQ2 in Refrigeration/AC.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on systems.
• Perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Deliver first-time fixes where possible to minimize callouts.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation for clients.
• Build strong relationships with on-site clients and teams.

This is a mobile role where you’ll focus on the service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

What You’ll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Fault find on systems including AHUs, chillers, cold rooms, display cabinets, cellar cooling, and ice machines
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs
• Deliver first-time fixes where possible
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation
• Build strong relationships with clients on-site
• Participate in an on-call rota (with paid overtime & standby)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in HVAC and/or refrigeration service
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Background in hospitality, retail, or similar environments is beneficial
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role

Essential:
