BCforward is seeking a Resident Network Engineer, Senior Network Certification & Implementation (Juniper) to join our team in Middletown, NJ. The role focuses on designing, validating, and deploying complex Juniper-based network solutions in lab and production environments.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years with Juniper routing, switching, and security, with hands-on experience across SRX, MX, EX, and QFX platforms, plus Mist Cloud management. This onsite role operates 9am–5pm on weekdays.

Job Description

We are seeking a Resident Network Engineer, Senior Network Certification & Implementation (Juniper) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Juniper routing, switching, security, and cloud-managed platforms and a proven ability to design, validate, and deploy complex network solutions in lab and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing, certification, and validation of Juniper networking solutions and architectures.
• Develop, execute, and document test plans for hardware, software releases, and customer designs.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and validate advanced features using Junos OS.
• Conduct interoperability and performance testing with industry-standard tools.
• Create technical reports, configuration guides, test results, and operational procedures.
• Deliver technical presentations and knowledge transfer to engineering and operations teams.
• Design, configure, and deploy customer network solutions across enterprise and service provider environments.
• Develop resilient WAN architectures using Metro Ethernet, Internet, and LTE backup services.
• Provide technical leadership during onboarding, migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with AT&T engineering teams and customers to ensure deployment success and operational readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Juniper networking expertise at JNCIP-equivalent proficiency, including Multicast, GRE, IPSec VPNs, NAT, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, CoS, Routing Instances, J-Flow, Real-Time, RPM, VRRP, and SNMP.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper platforms: SRX (SRX3XX, SRX4XX, mid-range), MX (MX204, MX301, MX304, MX240, MX480), EX (EX3400, EX4000 Series, EX4650), QFX (QFX5120).
• Mist Cloud Management for WAN and Switch Assurance, including configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Virtualization and edge platforms: Juniper NFX250, NFX350, vSRX, Linux administration, KVM.
• Testing and monitoring tools: Spirent TestCenter and PRTG Network Monitor.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex network environments.
• Ability to independently design, build, validate, and deploy networking solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customer-facing presentation abilities.
• Experience working across engineering and implementation teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Experience level: 5+ years with Juniper routing, switching, and security technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Juniper certifications such as JNCIP, JNCIS, or JNCIE.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise or service provider networks, SD-WAN, and cloud-managed architectures.
• Knowledge of carrier-grade WAN services, Metro Ethernet, and LTE/5G integration for resiliency.
