Job summary

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) Construction Management Unit seeks an Air Condition (AC) Mechanic responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems across DANY facilities. The role emphasizes hands-on technical work under supervision and does not involve steam-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Inspect, maintain, repair and install AC systems and components as required.
• Read and apply schematics, manuals and drawings for accurate installations.
• Operate hand tools, meters and brazing equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, inspect, test, alter and repair air conditioners and components.
• Service thermostats, controllers and sensors on AC systems.
• Review proposals and prepare requisitions for parts and materials.
• Create records and submit reports on AC equipment servicing.
• Operate a vehicle to job sites and comply with policies.
