Job Description

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned goals related to the overall performance of 2-10 hotels. The role involves soliciting and securing new accounts for all assigned hotels, working with hotel leadership to meet revenue and market share targets. Sales focus may vary based on property type (Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management associates are expected to work as necessary, with OEM associates eligible for overtime pay.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years hotel sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and influence.
  • Experience with professional selling techniques: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and possess strong organizational and presentation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve sales, revenue, and solicitation call goals for assigned hotels.
  • Conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients in Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups.
  • Develop and grow relationships with existing accounts.
  • Monitor market trends within your segment.
  • Maintain courteous, attentive, and service-oriented interactions with guests and staff.
  • Follow Aimbridge Hospitality’s regulations, standards, and metrics.
  • Gain knowledge of hotel operations and policies.
  • Maintain visibility in the local community and industry organizations.
  • Assist with promotional activities like sales blitzes.
  • Attend meetings and other functions as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
