Job summary

FLANDERS is seeking an AC Winder to join our Lakeland, FL Team! The AC Winder will rewind various kinds of complex electromechanical equipment including removing the original winding, inspecting for winding failure damage, recording data from the original winding, making new coils, winding, and performing voltage testing on windings.

Must have winding experience and have worked in a electric motor shop. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three+ years AC armature winding experience.
• Familiar with insulation systems and varnishing.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percent).
• Willingness to work 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various electromechanical equipment and test windings.
• Follow insulation techniques during rewinding.
• Dismantle and inspect damaged equipment for winding issues.
• Document data on electromagnetic characteristics and serviceability.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts.
• Test rewound equipment per standards and document results.
• Operate repair and testing equipment (winding machines, test panels, surge testers, etc.).
