What We Are Looking For
  • Our team is looking for aDC Winder Ifor ourLongview, TX operations!TheDC Winder Iwill assist the Winding Department on various winding jobs and is responsible for inspecting, dismantling, testing, and repairing basic electromechanical equipment while working under supervision.
Here\'s What You\'ll Do
  • Read winding data cards for each job.
  • Inspect electromechanical equipment for damage and signs of electrical malfunction.
  • Test winding conditions according to EASA standards.
  • Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
  • Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden damage or unusual conditions.
  • Assist with rewinding armatures while following proper insulating techniques and requirements.
  • Assist Technicians II and III with armature rebanding and commutator rebanding.
  • Assist with testing electromechanical equipment and documenting test results according to EASA standards.
  • Complete job documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate repair and testing equipment including winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, ovens, grinders, cranes, forklifts, VPI systems, and various power and hand tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Promote a positive company image and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Here\'s What You\'ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend routine written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and follow job-related training, operational procedures, and safety practices.
  • Strong initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills for routine work activities.
  • Ability to operate hoists, forklift trucks, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of small lathes and various handheld tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces on an occasional basis.
  • Willingness to travel infrequently as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, noisy environments).
