Job summary

Visionworks of America in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a team member to perform media blasting and cleaning of AR coating unit shields, and to maintain storage and general facility cleanliness.

The role requires following decontamination and oven-drying procedures, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working varying shifts including nights and weekends. High school diploma preferred; 1–3 years manufacturing experience welcomed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • One to three years of related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read English to understand procedures, hazardous warnings, etc.
  • General mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

  • Perform media blasting/cleaning of AR coating unit shields and organize storage.
  • Replace/install cleaned shutters and shields daily.
  • Remove AR residue from shutters and shields using sandblasting techniques.
  • Follow Weiser Rings decontamination and oven drying procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the blasting area and equipment.
  • Adhere to Compactor Operation Standardized Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and facility.

Job description

Summary

Perform media blasting/cleaning of AR coating unit shields, organizes storage. Performs many levels of general cleaning throughout the AR facility.

Pay Class and Pay
  • Pay Class: Full Time
  • Pay: $16.65 - $17.99 per hour
Essential Responsibilities
  • Ability to remove contaminated shutters and shields form within a vacuum chamber and replace/install with cleaned shutters and shields on a daily basis.
  • Properly remove Anti-Reflective residue from shutters and shield s using sandblasting techniques.
  • Ability to follow Weiser Rings decontamination and oven drying procedures.
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping to media blasting area and equipment.
  • Ability to follow Compactor Operation Standardized Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to communicate and elevate with peers and principles.
  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
  • Practice and comply with all requirements promoting a safe and healthy work place environment debris.
Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred

Experience & Background

One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred

Language Skills

Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.

Mathematical Skills

Ability General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division

Reasoning Ability

Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
