The DC Army National Guard is seeking an M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer to supervise and perform maintenance on these tanks. You will diagnose malfunctions and service subsystems including suspension, steering, hydraulics, power units, and gun turret drive.

This role progresses through Basic Training (10 weeks) and Advanced Individual Training (24 weeks), with paid training and a path toward civilian electronics careers. Drills pay weekly with comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Understanding electronic principles and how to test electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctions in complex mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and perform maintenance on M1 Abrams tanks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in suspension, steering, hydraulics, and APU systems.
• Maintain vehicular mounted armament, gun turret drive, and fire control subsystems.
