Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an M1 Abrams Tank Systems Maintainer to supervise and perform maintenance on Abrams tanks. You will diagnose malfunctions and maintain subsystems including suspension, steering, hydraulics, APU, fire suppression, and gas particulate systems.

Through this role you gain hands-on training and the potential civilian career paths as electronics mechanic, avionics technician, or missile facilities repairer with defense contractors.

Qualifications

Knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions on complex systems.
Experience or exposure to automotive/electrical/engine components is helpful.

Responsibilities

Supervise and perform maintenance on M1 Abrams Tanks.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform organizational maintenance.
Maintain suspension, steering, hydraulic, APU, fire suppression, and gas particulate systems.
Perform maintenance on armament, turret drive, and fire control systems.
