Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an ABL Operations Specialist in Chicago to manage daily collateral and loan analysis for an assigned client portfolio. You will liaise with the Underwriting/Portfolio Manager, review documentation, and ensure accurate collateral valuation and reporting.

The role requires an accounting background, 3+ years in banking or asset-based lending operations, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and compliance

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years’ banking or asset-based lending operations experience.
• Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to multitask.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary borrower contact for collateral operations with the Underwriting/Portfolio Manager.
• Review, analyze, and reconcile the borrowing base certificate and supporting documentation.
• Calculate ineligibles and compare to client’s calculations; identify collateral that may not be eligible for lending.
• Post collateral information from borrower reports to the loan system.
• Advise the Underwriting/Portfolio Manager of reporting inadequacies and work with borrower to resolve issues.
• Monitor and update ticklers; ensure collateral reporting compliance (BBC, AR, AP, Inventory, Financials).
• Maintain communication with the Underwriting/Portfolio Manager on assigned accounts and flag unusual trends.
• Maintain professional and courteous interaction with borrowers; resolve questions promptly.
• Ensure client information is saved properly on the server; adhere to Bank Compliance policies.
