Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corp is seeking a senior specialist to provide servicing support across syndication portfolios, including Capital Markets and Institutional Leverage portfolios. You will book, fund, and manage loan activity, reconcile GL accounts, and coordinate disbursements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, 5+ years in commercial loan operations, and proficiency with loan systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial loan operations or commercial servicing.
• 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
• Understanding of complex commercial lending structures and loan documentation.
• Strong understanding of participation/syndication lending structures.
• Prior experience in commercial loan operations and a good understanding of loan accounting systems, general ledger and finance interaction.
• Experience with commercial loan systems/software.
• Ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy, meet deadlines within tight timeframes and multi-task when the situation calls for it.
• Ability to recognize and communicate special handling needs for complex loan transactions.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide servicing support for syndication portfolios and related services.
• Book and fund syndicated loans; post payments, advances, repricing, and payoffs.
• Research, reconcile and clear accrual discrepancy and loan-related GL accounts.
• Review commercial loan approvals and documents for proper booking in CLS system.
• Coordinate closing disbursements with Capital Market and Documentation Team.
• Prepare funding notices to syndicate members and funding notices for syndicated portfolios.
• Disburse loans via wire transfer or credit to DDA.
• Maintain loan system data integrity for accurate reporting.
• Coordinate loan advances with syndicate members and ensure timely communication.
• Process facility & loan payments, payoffs and maintenance for syndicated portfolios.
• Prepare notices and wires to external syndicate members.
• Communicate with syndicate members, lenders, loan admins/CSP, credit reporting, finance, and QC teams.
• Review daily reports for automated payments and rate changes; notify syndicated members as needed.
• Review daily reports for sweep rejects and swingline settlements; perform QC of new tranche setup.
• Research and reconcile out-of-balance situations; advise syndicate members as needed.
• Provide backup support for syndication servicing team.
