Job Title: Janitor

Reporting to the Janitorial Supervisor, the Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned buildings according to contract standards.

Essential Functions

• Complete assigned janitorial duties according to your schedule and quality standards.
• Practice safety precautions when handling supplies, including hazardous materials, Universal Precautions, and SDS guidelines.
• Use proper lifting techniques.
• Perform duties as assigned by Team Leads or Supervisor.
• Be flexible with duties and schedules as needed.
• Manage resources responsibly, avoiding waste of time and materials.
• Provide transportation to and from worksites if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Janitorial Supervisor.

Work Environment

The janitor works in a professional setting and may interact with clients.

Physical Demands

Must be able to push, pull, or carry up to 40 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently. Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and handle cleaning chemicals. Visual acuity is required to perform duties accurately. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and chemicals may occur.
