Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of AHN and Highmark Health, seeks a Nursing Leader to manage daily operations of Abdominal Transplant unit. You will provide clinical and administrative leadership, coordinate with donors/patients and multidisciplinary teams, and drive performance and patient safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 3 years leadership, PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure, and CPR certification; Master’s degree and national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 3 years of leadership experience.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Preferred Master’s Degree in Nursing and national certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises daily operations of the patient care department.
• Coordinates with donors, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensures patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts annual performance appraisals and leads meetings.
• Promotes quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
