Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is expanding its Abdominal Transplant Pharmacy Services and seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support inpatient and ambulatory care across abdominal transplant lines. The role focuses on immunosuppressive management, education for staff and patients, and developing transplant protocols within the Pharmacy Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
• PharmD preferred.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist license is required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• 1 year Pharmacy residency or 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead immunosuppressive management and infection discussions during rounds.
• Provide transplant education to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Develop and maintain transplant protocols, guidelines and clinical pathways.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and precepting pharmacy residents and students.
• Collaborate with transplant surgery, nephrology, and hepatology teams to optimize outcomes.
