The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program. Additionally, at least three years of experience as a faculty radiologist at an academic radiology program is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences, participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties, and educating medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital. Responsibilities also include preparing learning materials, lectures, posters, and presentations for national review. The candidate should be an accomplished educator and expected to serve in an educational leadership role within the Abdominal Imaging Division.
Clinical responsibilities may include procedures involving Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy of the body. Prior experience in image-guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required. The candidate will participate in the off-hour on-call program, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
