The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Expertise is required in thoracic imaging. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible, with subspecialty training in Cardiothoracic Radiology.

  1. Teaching responsibilities: Include daily clinical supervision of residents and cardiothoracic imaging fellows, and lectures to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and other trainees.
  2. Clinical responsibilities: Interpretation of chest radiographs, thoracic CT, and thoracic MRI. Thoracic needle biopsies are preferred. Opportunity to participate in cardiovascular CT and MRI clinical practice. Shared after-hour and weekend coverage is expected.
  3. Research responsibilities: Lead focused research in thoracic imaging, including imaging applications for chest diseases and studies on clinical impact. Prior research experience, peer-reviewed scholarship, and mentorship are required.

This position requires 3-5 years of experience. Penn Radiology serves multiple hospitals and outpatient centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
