Job summary

Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) in Springfield, IL seeks an ABC Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to provide comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate mobility needs, design evidence-based plans, and ensure optimal device fit and function in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and rehab teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold ABC Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics (CPO).
• Experience in comprehensive prosthetic/orthotic patient care is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, and device components.
• Excellent documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality prosthetic and orthotic care in line with ABC scope and standards.
• Conduct patient evaluations, gait analysis, and functional assessments to plan treatment.
• Design, fit, align, adjust, and troubleshoot devices for comfort and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use and rehab goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers for interdisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation for reimbursement and compliance.
• Develop relationships with referral sources to support clinic growth.
• Ensure services comply with licensure, ABC standards, OSHA, and payer guidelines.
• Mentor support staff and contribute to a collaborative clinic culture.
