Job summary

Summit Orthotics & Prosthetics in Albany, OR seeks an experienced Certified Prosthetic Orthotist (CPO) to evaluate, design, fabricate, fit, and align prosthetic and orthotic devices. The role involves working with patients, physicians, and rehabilitation staff to provide high-quality care.

The ideal candidate holds ABC/BOC certification, licensure, and 3–5 years of clinical experience. Proficiency with CAD/CAM and fabrication, strong communication, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC Certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO).
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in the state.
• 3–5 years of clinical practice experience preferred (resident considered).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and material science.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, including medical history and lifestyle evaluation.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use and care.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists for coordinated care.
• Document patient interactions and device specifications per policy.
• Coordinate with operations to support timely care delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends and continuing education.
• Maintain compliance with laws and ABC/BOC standards.
• Ability to perform on-call duties.
