Info Way Solutions is seeking a Battery Thermal CAE Engineer in Cupertino, CA to lead thermal and mechanical CAE simulations for battery cells, modules, and packs. You will develop Abaqus-based models for structural and thermal analysis, analyze heat transfer and temperature distribution, and support BTMS optimization.

The role requires 3+ years of CAE/FEA experience, strong Abaqus skills, and knowledge of battery thermal management.

Formación

• Minimum 3+ years of CAE/FEA experience, preferably in battery or EV applications.
• Hands-on Abaqus experience for thermal and mechanical analysis.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and material behavior.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thermal and mechanical CAE simulations for battery cells, modules, and packs.
• Develop and run FEA/CAE models using Abaqus for structural and thermal analysis.
• Conduct heat transfer, temperature distribution, and thermal conduction analyses.
• Analyze battery thermal behavior under varying conditions and environments.
• Support BTMS development and optimization through CAD/CAE simulations.
• Build and maintain simulation models: geometry prep, meshing, material definitions, boundary conditions, solver setup.
• Correlate simulation results with experimental data and improve model accuracy.
• Run thermal–mechanical coupled simulations to evaluate deformation, stress, and thermal expansion.
• Identify hotspots, failure risks, and opportunities for design improvements.
• Collaborate with battery, mechanical, electrical, BMS, CFD, and test teams.
