Job summary

Lighthouse is a New York City-based agency providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism. As a Behavior Technician, you will deliver one-on-one ABA sessions under BCBA supervision, contributing to skill development and improved quality of life for children and families.

You will document progress, collaborate with the BCBA and team, and participate in ongoing training to enhance your ABA expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in ABA therapy or working with individuals with autism preferred but not required.
• Ability to collect data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA therapy techniques under supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs.
• Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills in a supportive setting.
• Foster a positive, engaging therapeutic relationship with clients and families.
• Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with BCBA and interdisciplinary team to adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate progress and strategies to parents/caregivers for home generalization.
• Maintain accurate session notes and data in documentation.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
