Multicultural Community Services of the Pioneer Valley Inc. (MCS) seeks staff for the ABA program at MCS Holyoke, Holyoke, MA. This per diem and part-time role involves supervision, coaching families, data collection, and collaboration with a Licensed ABA to implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, guiding families, documenting sessions, and attending required trainings. Must become RBT certified within 6 months and provide medical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED with 12 months of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree in human/social/educational services or related field with six months of relevant experience.
  • Willing to become certified as an RBT and have 3 months relevant experience.
  • Provide documentation of a physical exam, MMR, and TB test.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors client progress on treatment plan goals.

  • Collaborates with the Licensed ABA to adjust plans as needed.
  • Implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans.

  • Available for nights, early mornings, and weekends.
  • Become RBT certified within 6 months.

Job description

Location: MCS Holyoke 260 Westfield Rd, Holyoke MA

Program: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Hours: Per Diem and Part Time

Pay Range: Starting rate without RBT certification is $22.50; and the starting rate with an RBT certification is $24.50

Responsibilities

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors the client’s progress on implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed and certified Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Provides coaching, support, and guidance to the parent/guardian/caregiver in implementing the plan
  • Collects data and conducting certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments)
  • Works closely with the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst to ensure the treatment plans and behavior intervention plans are implemented as developed, and reports to the licensed applied behavioral analyst if the client is not achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the treatment plan so that the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst can modify the plan as necessary
  • Assists the client in implementing the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Directly implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
  • Complete necessary documentation and paperwork including session notes, time sheets, travel reports, etc. according to the company guidelines.
  • Work required billable hours weekly
  • Availability to work nights, early mornings, and/or weekends
  • Become RBT certified within 6 months from hire date.
  • Provide documentation of a physical exam (every 2 years), proof of MMR, and Negative TB
  • Attend trainings as required

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Training
  • Works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst meeting the above criteria
  • must be a minimum age of 18 years old
  • must have either a high school diploma or a general education development (GED), and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families; or
  • an associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution, and have six months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
  • Must be willing to become certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and have 3 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
