Job summary

MCS Holyoke is hiring for an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program in Holyoke, MA. This per diem and part-time position offers starting pay of $22.50 per hour without RBT certification and $24.50 with RBT certification.

You will work under the supervision of a Licensed ABA Analyst, monitor progress, coach families, collect data, and ensure treatment plans are implemented. RBT certification must be pursued within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and work under supervision of a Licensed ABA Analyst.
• High school diploma or GED with 12 months experience with developmental disabilities, or an associate’s degree with six months experience.
• Willing to become a registered behavioral technician (RBT) with 3 months relevant experience.
• Provide health documentation: physical exam every 2 years, MMR proof, and negative TB.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client progress on treatment plan goals.
• Provide coaching and guidance to parents/guardians/caregivers implementing the plan.
• Collect data and perform assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments).
• Collaborate with the licensed ABA Analyst to ensure plans are implemented and modify as needed.
• Assist client in implementing goals of the plan and directly implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans.
• Complete session notes, time sheets, travel reports, and other documentation per company guidelines.
• Maintain required billable hours weekly.
• Available to work nights, early mornings, and/or weekends.
• Attend trainings (CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Cultural Competence/Awareness, other MCS trainings).
• Ensure reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the client’s progress on implementation of the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed and certified Applied Behavior Analyst
• Provides coaching, support, and guidance to the parent/guardian/caregiver in implementing the plan
• Collects data and conducting certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments)
• Works closely with the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst to ensure the treatment plans and behavior intervention plans are implemented as developed, and reports to the licensed applied behavioral analyst if the client is not achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the treatment plan so that the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst can modify the plan as necessary
• Assists the client in implementing the goals of the treatment plan developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
• Directly implements skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
• Complete necessary documentation and paperwork including session notes, time sheets, travel reports, etc. according to the company guidelines.
• Work required billable hours weekly
• Availability to work nights, early mornings, and/or weekends
• Become RBT certified within 6 months from hire date.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Training

• Works under the direct supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst meeting the above criteria
• must be a minimum age of 18 years old
• must have either a high school diploma or a general education development (GED), and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families; or
• an associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution, and have six months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
• Must be willing to become certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and have 3 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transition age youth, or families.
