Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking caring individuals to support children with special needs in the South Los Angeles area. You will help children develop social and communication skills, document progress, and assist with behavior plans under professional supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting milestones, following prescribed plans, and collaborating with the care team. The role offers morning, afternoon, and evening hours and mileage reimbursement in eligible cases.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; 18+ minimum age.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science or human development or at least one year of relevant experience with children (e.g., Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician).
• Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
