Job summary

ABA Support Services in Allentown, PA is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist to organize data collection and assist with assessments and program implementation. You will help with clinical activities and staff/parent training, and assume lead therapist duties in their absence.

The role involves data management, session preparation, and collaboration with the supervising team across home, school, and community settings. A driver and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have own transportation.
• 1 year clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism, training parents, and supervising staff in implementation of intervention protocols.
• Willing to learn about an early learning curriculum and the application of behavioral principles to increase functional repertoires.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Therapists should be willing to work with children across ASD functioning levels and implement programs at home, school, and community environments.
• Motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal direction.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment; flexible and patient.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist in maintaining up-to-date graphs, summaries, and data calculations.
• Write progress notes and program updates, create session materials and stimuli, and maintain program books.
• Participate in baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Prepare and clean up session-related activities (room, equipment, etc.).
• Assist with protocol dissemination, reviews, and staff/parent training.
• Use safe handling and guidance procedures when transporting or working with clients.
• Provide direct client care following prescribed protocols; may be one-on-one or in groups.
• Shadow/co-treat/treat 2–4 hours per week.
• Report parent concerns and highlights to the lead therapist.
• Report suspected child abuse within 24 hours.
