Job summary

Stoneham Public Schools seeks an ABA Technician for Stoneham Central Middle School in Massachusetts. You will work directly with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related disabilities, implementing individualized academics and ABA-based behavior programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, classroom experience, and ABA experience. You will collect data, monitor progress, and collaborate with BCBA and teachers. Compensation includes $32.93 per hour and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; classroom experience preferred; ABA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other related developmental disabilities.
• Implements individualized academic and behavior programs.
• Provides instruction using ABA principles, including discrete trial instruction, task analysis, naturalistic teaching techniques.
• Participates in daily classroom routines (circle time, recess, lunch, group activities, toileting).
• Independently implements student-specific behavior plans to decrease challenging behaviors and increase functional behaviors.
• Collects ongoing data, summarizes progress, and identifies next steps in program.
• Conducts or assists with student skills assessments.
• Communicates with BCBA and classroom teacher about student progress.
• Implements direct instruction in home or after-school environments to improve social skills and ADL.
• Models implementation of programs for parents.
• Assists with training staff in behavior intervention plans and skills building.
• Gathers, maintains, and prepares student materials, data sheets, and notebooks.
